Johansen is one of the longest established coaching businesses in the Channel Islands, formed in 1997 by Cato Johansen MBA, a pioneer in the coaching world. Cato trained originally with the Coaches Training Institute in the US before becoming one of the first International Coach Federation credentialed Master Certified Coaches in Europe in 2005. Since that time Cato has completed in excess of 10,000+ coaching hours with executives and teams around the world.
Since 2008, Cato has been employed as an Executive Coach and Leadership Consultant at INSEAD , working on in-company programmes for global companies, the Personal Leadership Development Programme part of the MBA programme and as a Faculty Coach on the INSEAD Coaching Certificate Programme, which launched in 2018.
Due to Covid-19 travel restrictions, Cato is currently working with clients online and in person in Guernsey.
Michelle Johansen MA, PCC, Systemic Leadership Coach
Michelle Johansen joined Cato in 2007 after 27 years in management and leadership roles, with 10 years as Director and COO in the finance industry in Guernsey. In 2009 Michelle founded the Women's Development Forum she went on to host 110 large group meetings across Jersey and Guernsey over the following 8 years. Since 2014 Michelle has been leading small group leadership development pods, focusing on increasing inner capacity for leadership. In her coaching work, Michelle helps clients develop greater self-awareness through the Enneagram Personality typology and through Systemic Constellations.
